Project Manager of About Design, Barbara Kacprzak, will participate in a conference organized by the Gdańsk Foundation for Entrepreneurship in cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts. The event will take place on 22 November in Gdansk and it is being implemented within the project for the development of creative industries - Creative Cities.

The conference aims to answer the question whether persons with a passion, studying art directions and having creative skills and capabilities are likely to run a thriving business. In the conference, as speakers will also take part: Natalia Turczyńska from the Gulf of Art, Magdalena Stefanska-Lotkowska of LPP SA and Miroslaw Rekowski, the owner of “Studio Rekowski”. Invited guests will present the story of the success of their companies and initiatives, provide professional development opportunities and share their experiences with people who are at the beginning of a creative career. The presentations will be complemented with the panel discussion about creative industry development trends.
An important element of the conference will be series of free workshops which will allow their participants to increase business knowledge and skills. Workshops’ topics include: self-employment, legal aspects and copyrights as well as art of sales presentation in a creative industry.
The event is organized within the international project Creative Cities, realized by the Gdańsk Foundation for Entrepreneurship. The aim of Creative Cities is to develop the principles of creating and developing the creative industries cluster in the Gdańsk Metropolitan Area. The cluster is intended to initiate cooperation of MMSP sector, universities, government and research institutions.
